What services do you offer ?
I provide pre-booked airport transfers, station pickups, business travel and long-distance journeys from and to Edinburgh.
Regular airport transfers include Edinburgh, Glasgow, Prestwick and Newcastle airports, while longer journeys can be arranged to destinations throughout mainland UK.
How to make a booking ?
Send your journey details by WhatsApp, contact form or email: pickup, destination, date, exact pickup time, passengers and luggage.
I will send a fixed-price estimate. If accepted, a 25% booking fee confirms the journey. The booking fee is fully refundable if cancelled more than 24 hours before pickup. The remaining balance is payable before the journey begins.
What makes you different?
Most direct bookings come from passengers who have travelled with me before or have been personally referred.
The difference is simple: you know who is driving you. For airport transfers, longer journeys and early morning pickups, that matters.
I provide direct communication, a fixed price agreed in advance and a planned journey with the same licensed private hire driver from enquiry to pickup. No surge pricing, no app lottery and no last-minute guessing.
Can I book a journey at short notice ?
Possibly.
However this service is designed for advance bookings rather than immediate transport requests.
As a general guide, at least 7 hours' notice is preferred. Availability may occasionally be confirmed at shorter notice, but this cannot be guaranteed.
If you require transport immediately, ride-sharing apps or traditional Edinburgh taxis are usually a better option.
Are your prices fixed ?
Yes.
All bookings are quoted in advance and a fixed price is agreed before the journey is confirmed.
The price does not change because of live traffic demand, surge pricing or the time of day.
Do you offer long-distance journeys ?
Long-distance transfers can be arranged to destinations across mainland UK.
Popular destinations include Glasgow, St Andrews, Dundee, Aberdeen, Newcastle and other cities throughout Scotland and England.
How many passengers can you carry ?
The vehicle can carry up to 4 passengers.
For maximum comfort on journeys longer than 1 hour, 1-2 passengers is usually ideal.
How much luggage can you accommodate ?
The vehicle is a Hyundai Ioniq hybrid, so luggage capacity is more limited than in a large estate car or minivan.
As a general guide, luggage space is suitable for:
2 medium suitcases, meaning suitcases with a capacity of up to 20kg, plus 2-3 pieces of hand luggage
or up to 4 passengers travelling with hand luggage only (trips under 1h duration only)
Large suitcases, typically used for long-haul flights with higher baggage allowances, are more restrictive. In most cases, only 2 large suitcases can be accommodated.
Please note that, under the conditions of my private hire licence, passenger luggage cannot be carried inside the cabin, even when travelling with only one passenger.
If you are travelling with larger or unusual luggage, please mention this when requesting a quote.
What payment methods do you accept ?
I accept contactless card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash for in-person payments.
A booking fee is required to secure a reservation and must be paid in advance through a secure payment link. Once payment has been received, my payment provider automatically generates a receipt, which also serves as confirmation that your booking has been accepted.
Do you provide child seats?
I do not.
Passengers requiring child seats should provide their own seat suitable for the child's age and size.
Can I bring a pet?
Possibly.
Please mention any pets when making an enquiry so suitability can be confirmed before the booking.
Are you insured?
Yes.
I am a licensed private hire driver approved by the City of Edinburgh Council, operating a fully licensed and insured private hire vehicle.
Can I change the destination or add an extra passenger during the journey?
I am generally flexible and will do my best to accommodate reasonable changes.
Additional pickups, short stops or changes to the agreed destination may result in additional charges if they increase the journey time or distance.
Major changes cannot always be accommodated, particularly where they would significantly extend the journey or affect other bookings.
Can I get a printed invoice/receipt ?
Yes, printed invoices are available on request.
Please let me know before the journey if you require one. I generally operate a paper-free service and do not carry a printer in the vehicle, so printed invoices need to be arranged in advance.
Digital invoices and payment confirmations can also be provided electronically.
What happens if my flight is delayed or diverted ?
Please provide your flight number when booking an airport pickup. Where possible, I monitor incoming flights and adjust the pickup time based on the actual landing time.
For pickups from Edinburgh Airport, up to 20 minutes of waiting time from the actual landing time is included in the agreed price.
For pickups from other airports, up to 45 minutes of waiting time from the agreed pickup time is included in the agreed price.
After that time, additional waiting charges will apply.
If the delay exceeds 120 minutes, the booking may need to be cancelled or re-quoted, depending on my availability and any other pre-booked journeys.
If your flight is diverted to another airport, this is treated as a change of pickup location. I will do my best to help, but a new quote will be required and availability cannot be guaranteed.
